Steve Collins Joins Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Man of the Year Campaign
Martin Sipes, my brother-in-law, is a great husband to my sister, father to my two nieces, and he is a non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, (LLS), has nominated me for “LLS Man of the Year”. Lymphoma is one of the many blood cancers being successfully conquered by LLS research. Since 1954, LLS has invested almost $1 billion in research for Hodgkin’s, Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma, and survivor rates since 1960 have quadrupled.
For our team, this effort has nothing to do with Man of the Year. It is about raising money for important research that LLS is funding. Our goal is to raise $100,000 by May 30, 2014. Our mission is to make a difference, find a cure and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
